Pink & Blue Loft Wedding at Room 1510

Liz + Aaron started their day off getting ready at Chicago’s Kinzie Hotel. Liz was surrounded by her maids in matching pink robes, as they helped to get her ready, while sharing some Champagne. Liz’ mother and grandmother accompanied her as she took her first glance at her father’s initials, that were sweetly embroidered into the inside of her dress. Meanwhile, Aaron celebrated the beginning of the day with his father and his groomsmen, toasting with some Woodford Reserve bourbon.

Liz + Aaron met, not too far from the hotel for a first look at each other, making their way toward the Wrigley Building for some downtown pictures. While the bride and groom took a walk together on the Michigan Ave bridge, the wedding party spotted a one-man Karaoke band, and just couldn’t resist singing their hearts out on the streets of Chicago!

We gathered the party and headed to Room 1510 for a cool loft ceremony, followed by a reception with pretty pink accents, and the best cake toppers a dog-loving bride and groom could ask for. They toasted the night away as they dined, danced, horah-ed, and sang together in celebration!

Summer Wedding at Ignite Glass Studio

Joanna + James started their wedding day off getting ready at The Westin Chicago North. Joanna was gifted a sweet locket from James, and James received a dapper Shinola leather watch. They were joyously married at Old Town’s stunning St. Michael’s Cathedral, before traveling to their favorite flamingo mural at the Flamingo Rum Club.

Joanna + James took a quick afternoon stroll in Chicago’s River Walk, while boats passing cheered them on as a new couple, before heading back for their cocktail hour on the sunny roof of Ignite Glass. Mariachi’s serenaded guests as they enjoyed their refreshing cocktails and sunny weather.

The reception featured golden butterflies, viney floral accents, and lime-shaped place cards, garnishing blue shot glasses that Joanna and her mother personally brought back from Mexico.

Guests were free to roam in the glass sculpture garden, while others danced the night away. A glass blowing demo mesmerized guests after a plentiful Mexican feast. After dancing their hearts out, Joanna + James were shown off by their guests with streamers and lots of love!!

A Very Logan Square Wedding

Barrett + Brian celebrated their DIY wedding with friends and family in their favorite Chicago neighborhood. They brought together Brian’s family from California, and Barrett’s family from Florida, for a weekend in Logan Square, showing off their favorite neighborhood spots to their guests - from their bachelor parties at Starapolska and Moonlighter, ending in a late night karaoke meet up at Alice’s, to a couple’s stroll through Humboldt Park before their ceremony at Michelle’s Ballroom

Their reception featured Big Star catering, a pink Instax camera, DIY vases and decor, a magnificent pink cake, baked by Barrett, himself, and decorated with succulents from Teka Slagle’s floral collection - and lots, and lots of dancing!!! The night ended with an afterparty meet up at Sleeping Village, and a lot of happy people.

Sunday was spent leisurely with friends and family picnicking at the Logan Square farmer’s market, while guests could check out music and other festivities at the Logan Square Festival just down the street.

Congrats, Barrett + Brian!
