Ria + Brian

Ria + Brian met at Arrigo Park for a special first look, followed by a jaunt with their wedding party through the West Loop area for fun, urban industrial photo ops before heading to Kitchen Chicago for their wedding ceremony. Here, they brought two joyous families together, joining Filipino and Jewish traditions, and including little Bella in the ceremony by presenting her with a special necklace, gifted from Brian.

Cocktails and appetizers were had following the ceremony with a lighthearted folky performance by Man Bread, before the guests were lead up to City View Loft for a night of good eats and celebration, including of course, singing, dancing, and lots of cotton candy!

Special thanks to the following vendors for contributing to such an awesome wedding:

Occasionally, I will second shoot for other wedding photographers. It’s something I really enjoy doing, because as a second photographer, I have more opportunity to capture candid moments between the bride and groom, and their friends and family. On this wedding, I was playing side kick to fellow Green Wedding Alliance member, Heather Decamp, of Heather DeCamp Photography.

Courtney + Justin got married on a frosty April day, where the flowers were just beginning to bloom, and the season had gifted us with its final snow flurries. I spent time with the groom and his groomsmen, and they prepared at Loew’s Hotel, and as we arrived in trolley at St. Michael’s Church in the Old Town neighborhood of Chicago, I peeked in on the bride and her girls as she prepared to walk down the aisle.

After the ceremony, we headed over with the bridal party to Lincoln Park Zoo for some photos of the happy bride and groom.

Amy + Chris

Two weeks ago I took a trip to Savannah, Georgia, to witness one of my dearest friends getting married to his beautiful bride. I got to be there, not only as a friend, but as their photographer, and there couldn’t have been a more charming setting to capture it all, than Savannah.

Chris and Amy began their relationship as high school sweethearts, and after several years on different paths, life has managed to reunite them. Chris has since moved to Savannah to build a new life with Amy, and his new little buddy, Carter.

Family and friends of past and present were invited to share the day with them, beginning with a quaint Savannah backyard ceremony, and ending at a local barbecue joint, chock-full of honey jalapeno margaritas and a tasty taco bar. It was a good time for all!

Also, did I mention that Chris and Amy have matching paopu fruit tattoos? If you are a gamer, than you might know how incredibly cute that is, but if not, you should seriously find out.
